Xorg Schrift-Rendering

Einen wunderschönen guten Abend zusammen!

Könnt ihr euch bitte mal die Screenshots im Anhang anschauen und eure Meinung dazu sagen?
Ich hab in den vergangenen Tagen mit Xorg und dem Schrift-Rendering rumgespielt und bin nicht wirklich zufrieden. Ich bin nach dem Artikel im gentoo-wiki vorgegangen (http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Xorg_and_Fonts), aber irgendwie ist dabei noch kein befriedigendes Ergebnis für mich herausgekommen.

Unter KDE habe ich im Control-Center unter Fonts die Schriftarten durch Bitstream Vera & Co. ersetzt, 96 dpi eingeschaltet und das Anti-Aliasing auf "subpixel hinting" rgb und das hinting auf medium gestellt. Ist es wirklich sinnvoll "Bitstream Vera" zu verwenden, oder gibt es Alternativen? Eigentlich gefallen mir die Windows-Schriftarten bzw. das Rendering recht gut, vielleicht bin ich daher etwas pingeliger.... ;)

Zum Einsatz bei mir kommt ein LCD Display mit einer Auflösung von 1280x1024.

Ich würde mich freuen, wenn ihr mir ein paar Tipps geben könntet!

Hallo capt.ludd

Ich habe einst auch ne ganze Zeit an den Schriften rumgedoktert, bis ich zufrieden wahr. Ich nutze zZ recht viel die Schrift "Verdana" , schaut recht gut aus.

Ich habe noch mal in meinen Lesezeichen gewühlt, und habe dies für dich, ist zwar schon etwas älter, aber vieles gilt auch heute noch.

oh ja, sorry. Ganz vergessen.
Joa, so richtig hat es sich noch nicht erledigt. Dachte es kämen noch ein paar Zuschriften...
Aber es sieht schon weit besser aus als vorher.

Das finde ich doch auch, soweit man es auf dem Screnshot erkennen kann,
damit solltest du doch eigentlich klarkommen denke ich

PS:
Ich wollte dich nun nicht dazu drängen den Thread zu schließen, ich dachte nur es währe erledigt da du dich hast auch lange nicht mehr hören lassen.
