Fehler nach dem Einloggen

Ich habe XFree installiert und nachdem ich mich eingeloggt habe (Gnome) erhalte ich diese Fehlermeldung:[code:1]Fehler beim Aktivieren der XKB-Konfiguration.
Vermutlich liegt ein internes Problem mit dem X-Server vor.

Versionsdaten des X-Servers:
Gentoo Linux (XFree86 4.3.0, revision r7)
40300001

Falls Sie einen Fehlerbericht zu diesem Problem einschicken, sollte dieser umfassen:
- Das Ergebnis von xprop -root | grep XKB

Ich habe die XKB Optionen auf Standard gesetzt, aber es bleibt immer noch der Fehler. :(
Vorgeschichte, hab "mc" installiert er hat "xorg" mitinstalliert, danach habe ich "xorg" deinstalliert und "XFree" installiert. Aber daran dürfte es ja ned liegen.!?

Sorry das ich die Kommentare mit gepostet habe. :oops:
Aber ich kann die Auflösung auch ned verändern, habs sie momentan nur bei 640x480 bei 60 Hz.

"xprop -root | grep XKB" kann ich auch ned ausführen, Fehler: command not found.

Was hab ich falsch gemacht, bzw. wie bekomme ich das richtig hin?

3 dinge hab ich gefunden:

so zu
1: ändere mal in
[code:1] Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys" [/code:1]
2: kommentiere die Zeile mal aus
[code:1]# Option "XkbOptions" " "[/code:1]
und bei 3 muss man soweit ich weiß einen Frequnezbereich angeben, schau mal in der betriebsanlleitung von deinem Monitor nach, oder boote mal knoppix, wenn du es nicht weißt.

Jetzt funktioniert auch eine Auflösung von 1024x768. :D

Aber die Fehlermeldung kommt leider immer noch.
