Ich habe Gentoo 2005.0 erfolgreich installiert und es läuft (nur Konsole - kein grafischer Desktopmanager).

Vor einigen Tagen habe ich, gemäss dieser Anleitung Gnome installieren wollen. Es war mir doch dabei entgangen, die Datei /etc/make.conf um die beiden Optionen howl und hal zu erweitern. Das hatte zur Folge, dass, wenn ich weiterhin nach der o.g. Anleitung vorging, es beim Hinzufügen von hald und mDNSResponder zum Standard-Runlevel zu Fehlermeldungen kam. Daraufhin änderte ich die Datei /etc/make.conf wie in der Anleitung erwähnt ab, und wiederholte den Vorgang emerge gnome-light, jedoch änderte sich an dem Resultat nichts. Die Fehlermeldungen blieben die gleichen:





Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, die Installation durch emerge gnome-light wieder rückgängig zu machen, um diese dann erneut (richtig) durchzuführen, oder hat jemand einen anderen Vorschlag?

Ich bin für jeden Hinweis dankbar.

Ich kann dazu leider nicht viel mehr sagen, es sei denn, es gäbe eine Logfile, welche den Vorgang mitprotokolliert, denn es kommen so viele Fehlermeldungen, dass ich nur noch die letzten (nicht sehr aufschlussreichen) Zeilen davon auf meinem Bildschirm lesen kann.

Vielleicht kann mir dazu jemand einen Tipp geben?

Das paket howl 0.9.6-r2 ist bei mir übrigens nicht installiert. Ein


schlägt ebenfalls fehl. Die letzten Zeilen gleichen der vorangegangen Fehlermedlung.

Ich habe in einem anderen Forum dazu ein Posting gesehen, dass empfiehlt, die Linux-Headers neu zu emergen. Kann mir dazu jemand etwas sagen?
Wie macht man so etwas? Und wozu ist das gut?
